One of FleetCare's success factors is our absolute commitment to safety – it is always at the top of everything we do. The development of safety and a common safety culture is part of our normal day-to-day operations, with all of our employees participating actively in it. In addition to our safety strategy, our operations are guided at the highest level by legislation and regulations and instructions issued by the authorities. In addition, we are committed to our four safety pledges:

• We ensure that the customer’s rolling stock is safe to use in all circumstances.

• We train and manage our personnel so that everyone knows how to do their work safely and correctly.

• We develop new solutions to improve rolling stock safety and the safety of the railway maintenance system.

• Prevention and continuous improvement

At VR FleetCare, safety management is based on risk management, i.e. identifying any risks that compromise safety and defining the necessary risk management procedures. Our safety situation is good exactly through our preventive safety management system.

The monitoring of the development of safety based on measurement and reporting is an integral part of our activities. Based on our safety strategy, we set safety targets for each year, consisting of both safety development measures and accident and incident reduction targets.

The principle of continuous improvement is also the secret behind our success in the field of safety. We want to provide safe solutions for all of our customers’ needs, above all, safely.
